Ilan is on the advisory board and the “Managing Partner – North America” at MG Equity Partners. Ilan’s career has included extensive financial, entrepreneurial, and general management in technology markets. For the last 17 years Ilan made Massachusetts USA his home. Ilan brings to MG Equity Partners his most recent experience as a five-year General Partner at Kodiak Venture Partners, a Boston based $670,000,000 venture capital firm. Ilan also served at Nortel Networks (as part of the $8,000,000,000 Bay Networks acquisition in Billerica, MA), where he was Vice President & General Manager. Ilan also served at 3Com Corporation (Boxborough, MA) as Vice President & Business Unit Manager who acquired Chipcom ($775,000,000) his previous company.
Born and raised in Israel, Ilan worked for Fibronics Ltd. in Haifa where he was the Director of Research & Development. In the US, Ilan joined a start-up, Chipcom Corporation (Southborough, MA) as the Vice President of Research & Development
Ilan served and/or serving on the Board of the following companies: Application Security Inc, Azimuth Networks, BTI Photonics Systems, CipherOptics, Mempile, Egenera, TMT, Tribotek and NetClarity.
Ilan has a B.S.E.E. and an M.S.E.E. from the Technion (IIT – Israel Institute of Technology). Ilan completed his training at Stanford / AEA Executive Institute of Management. Ilan was a Captain in the Israeli Air Force for five years. He is a private pilot.
